Generation Y:  The Apostolic NEXT Generation
READY OR NOT, HERE THEY COME!
By Hakeem Collins

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light”( I Peter 2:9).  We are in a season of present day restoration and apostolic reformation (Acts 3:21; Hebrew 9:10). The restoration of apostles and prophets is coming forth in the 21st century in a whole new way and many are being commissioned by the Holy Spirit through strong apostolic leadership in the church (Acts 13:2, 47). There is a new generation arising into apostolic ranks and many of them are in their 20’s and early 30’s. These new vanguard leaders are the chosen of the Lord who will pioneer this next move of God in their generation.  This article will help give you a prophetic perspective of what God is doing with Generation Y – the 16-30 something generation that God has chosen to become a catalyst for great change in the nations.

“An Apostolic Perspective”
by Apostle Harley Ithier

IMPACT Network's Representative in the Republic of Mauritius, is a timely article concering apostolic strategies to maximize the unprecedented opportunities the church has for evangelism in this first generation of the new millennium, even in the midst of the global economic crisis and political uncertainty facing so many nations.

“Unlocking the Spirit Of Reformation”
by Apostle Matthew Stevenson

One of the greatest plagues and satanic strategies that I see creeping into the current leadership of the church is the reluctance of leaders to position and release the next generation of leaders. It is almost as if there is some type of fear of releasing young people to walk into there God ordained destinies. We acknowledge the fact that young adults can have the call of God on their lives - we just refuse to take the invisible leash off of them and allow them to go free!

“The Making of An Apostolic People”
by Apostle Eyob Mamo

Recommendation by Apostle John Eckhardt: This book will challenge believers and churches to accept the current apostolic movement through an understanding of discipleship (training) and release (sending). Jesus called 12 men (disciples) and sent them forth as apostles. Eyob Mamo does an excellent job of looking at the ministry of Jesus apostolically and applying these principles to the church today.

"Apostolic Leadership"
by Apostle Frank Dupree

This is the Word of the Lord for today. In order for the Church to come into full alignment with the will of God today we must move from a “Pastoral leadership” paradigm to an “Apostolic Leadership” one. This does not mean that all “Pastors” must now be called “Apostles” but the Lord is requiring that Pastors develop and implement an Apostolic Leadership style.

"Esther: An Apostolic People"
by Apostle Michael Scantlebury

This article shows spiritual parallels from the story of Esther that is relevant for the church today.  Rich in “Third Day” revelation, Esther represents the strength and dynamics of an apostolic church and an apostolic people, knowing their identity and destiny, preparing for rulership, and understanding they have come to the kingdom – to a royal position, for such a time as this.
